Postpartum Depression AssignmentDiscussionRecommendation for siteThe project intends
to provide education to pregnant and postpartum women over the age of 18 years old with
the intention to encourage women to seek help, recognize the signs and symptoms of
postpartum depression (PPD), and increased knowledge of PPD. Towards this end, the
project will be conducted in an outpatient clinic. The outpatient clinic setting was identified
because pregnant women typically attend the clinic to monitor their pregnancies and
provide educational services on issues of concern such as teratological concerns. Through
conducting the project in the outpatient clinic, there is an assurance of capturing the
population of interest (pregnant and postpartum women). Besides that, women who attend
the outpatient clinic are primed for patient education and are anticipated to be receptive to
the project delivery (Marsh, Nashef & Brex, 2012). As a result, the project will be conducted

project intends to include modules of PPD when providing routine patient education during
outpatient visits. This has implications for policy concerning PPD management. Firstly,

Secondly, supporting partnerships through creating stronger links between the target
population and medical personnel. Thirdly, it is presented in understanding of the context
in which medical care is provided to the population (in outpatient setting) thus allowing for
flexibility (Graban, 2018).Links for health promotionThe change is anticipated to improve
care outcomes through improving the patients’ capacity to prevent, handle, manage and
cope with PPD. However, this is an uncomfortable change that adds to the workload of
medical personnel thus creating the possibility of resistance. The resistance to change will
be overcome through communicating the need for the change. This involves ensures that
information relative to the project is continuously communicated to medical personnel and
adapted to the audiences and message. In addition, the medical personnel will be involved
early and often through setting up networks. Besides that, support will be provided for the
change through allowing medical personnel to voice their concerns and providing
reassurances that support will be available throughout the change effort (Graban,
2018).Role of DNP-prepared nursesNext steps for evidence-based practice changeDNP-
prepared nurses have the capacity to serve as autonomous decision makers, independent
health care providers, and flexible leaders in the project. That is because they possess a
blend of leadership, economic, organizational and clinical skills that allow them to critique
the program and present a revised program design that can significantly increase the
positive effect on health care outcomes. The DNP-prepared nurses will work alongside
other personnel in the project to serve as evaluators, change agents and leaders of care in
the project. In fact, they will enhance communication, promote psychological safety,
articulate the role of nurses, and share leadership and decision making (Hickey & Kritek,
2012).Postpartum Depression AssignmentPlans for disseminationThe dissemination plan
for the project will involve scaling up the project in other outpatient facilities serving
pregnant and postpartum women. The project will prove the feasibility of patient education
in PPD management. Once the project results have been determined, they will be
communicated through six dissemination activities. Firstly, roll-up banner that will make
use of creative arts as the communication activity. Secondly, catalogue of the project
education material and modules that will make use of online communication tools such as
Twitter and Facebook as the communication activities. Thirdly, notice boards that will make
of the outpatient clinic website as the communication activity. Fourthly, internet articles
and printed press releases that will make use of project slogan as the communication
activity. Finally, presentations in related events and scientific conferences, and publications
in peer reviewed medical and scientific journals that will make use of the project logo as the
