The Internet of Things (IoT) enables communication among real-world things and devices through Internet. So far, IoT research has focused on allowing such communication through different protocols and architectures. Some of these architectural approaches are Web of Things (WoT) and Triple Space (TS) which are both resource oriented architectures. This work analyses and compares both approaches and outlines the scenarios in which they will be more useful. Particularly, it outlines how some of the drawbacks of WoT in the discovery and cooperation aspects may be complemented by integrating with TS.

RESTful Triple Spaces of Things
This document proposes adapting Triple Space Computing (TSC) to the Internet of Things (IoT) using a RESTful HTTP API. It presents Otsopack, an open source middleware that exposes TSC querying primitives over HTTP. The evaluation covers 4 case studies of running Otsopack on different devices: an XBee gateway with Python, a FoxG20 board with a Python implementation, a Samsung Galaxy Tab using Android, and a regular computer. The studies show semantic reasoning is feasible but performance varies greatly between devices. A RESTful interface helps build a distributed system but semantic capabilities are still challenging for constrained IoT devices.

In the Internet of Things several objects with network capabilities are connected over a self-configured
local network with other objects to interact and share knowledge. In this context, the Triple Space approach, where different processes share common semantic knowledge, seems to fit perfectly.
We presented our progress towards a semantic middleware which allows the communication between a wide range of embedded devices in a distributed, decoupled and very expressive manner.
This solution has been tested in a stereotypical deployment scenario showing the promising potential of this approach for local environments.

Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
