Making your app fun to use requires more than sprinkling a little gamification on top. It requires thoughtful imagination and experimentation. In this talk, I highlight some expert perspectives on theories of play and behavioral psychology, and and how we can apply these ideas in mobile app design. I also share prototyping techniques and how to validate whether a design will actually be fun.
What is gamification all about? And how can it be used as a valuable channel in campaigns?

3. The 2016 IoT Show Asia was our biggest and best yet. We were delighted to welcome
more than 2,400 attendees from almost 40 countries, representing a truly global
gathering in Singapore.
Over 70 speakers from across industries offered their insights across 8 panel
discussions, 8 roundtable discussions, and 57 presentations. Topics addressed were as
diverse as smart cities, intelligent transportation system, smart utilities, smart
manufacturing, Industry 4.0, smart logistics, digital transformation in oil & gas and
more. In short, this was a business event, focused on the increasingly expanding
number of use cases IOT in the commercial world.
The two-day event attracted executives from various industry verticals and solution
providers involved in IoT projects, as well as consultants and government delegations.
Many of these executives arranged a number of meetings with one another around the
event. More than 200 individual meetings were confirmed in our networking app alone,
in addition to countless others conducted onsite. The exhibition featured a busy start-up
zone, technology talks and demonstrations and a packed IoT University, where
attendees got an introductory overview of the applications of IoT technology to
different businesses and industries, including the smart city, manufacturing, logistics,
utilities, analytics and more.
The IoT Show Asia was co-located with The Commercial UAV Show Asia, which brought
over 1,000 additional attendees, creating one of Asia’s largest emerging technology
shows.
We are proud of the success that we have achieved at the IoT Show Asia 2016,
alongside our sponsors, partners, exhibitors and speakers. We thank you for your
participation and support and look forward to welcoming you back to Singapore in
2017.
