A Collection of Advertisements (Created by Mrs. Brown's 4th Grade Class)lrothfeld
Students began this project by viewing a variety of real print and online advertisements, and explored the use of language, humor, photographs, and design, to gain insight on what makes certain advertising strategies successful. Students then designed their own collection of ads for real and fictitious businesses and products.
Each ad was created as a PowerPoint slide. Students developed skills in creativity, design, and persuasion. They learned and practiced the effective use of text in headlines, text boxes, speaking and thinking bubbles; text effects, Word Art styles, position, and rotation; working with photos, picture effects, cropping, and other modifications; layering objects; inserting and formatting shapes with outlines, fills, and textures; selecting slide design themes; using dark on light and light on dark when working with text, graphics, and backgrounds; visual appeal and strategic placement and emphasis of elements; and much more.
The goals of the project were presented in the authentic context of students being “hired” for a summer internship at an advertising company. They were to prove their skills in the use of technology, creativity, and design in order to be considered for a full-time position.

Branding & Campaign
#u is targeted at young people who
are always looking for new trends.
My concept for this campaign is
all-natural. I asked my models to
cover their left eye with a fruit and
show their personalities. Our flavours:
lemon, clementine and pomegranate.

Branding & Campaign
This campaign is not only to sell tea
but also to create awareness and
address women (young-adult)
who have self-esteem issues. TE means
tea. Hook phrases are: AMATE (love
yourself), REGALATE (give yourself)
and CUIDATE (take care yourself).

Rebranding
The new logo incorporates both
concepts of the store name. To
represent the circus I used the iconic
tent and the circle of the letter “i” is
the clown-like nose of the bird. Also,
you can find other pets silhouettes
like a dog, a rabbit & a lizard.

Branding
Tutti Fruitree is a sparkling beverage
made from real fruit. The logo has 4 ele-
ments: the arm as the tree trunk that
induces the desire of reaching for the
drink, the circles that represent different
fruits, the apple as the main fruit and
the type, which is juvenile and dynamic.
Branding
This logo is based on John 15:5. It
talks about that Jesus is the vine, and
the members of the Church are the
branches. And if you remain in him you
will bear much fruit. Symbols: the cross
(Jesus), the branch (Church) and the
fruit (Circles-Grape).

sex, occult, etc. My illustration speaks

To Whom it May Concern:
I am pleased to provided this letter of recommendation
for Thalia Bacilio Rojano ID 6093-2112 as a candidate for
employment. I have had the pleasure
of being Thalia’s direct supervisor over these last 6 weeks
from March 23rd, 2015 to May 1st, 2015 at our agency,
Factoria Creativa. During her placement, we had the
opportunity to witness first-hand Thalia’s graphic design
skills and how she applied them to satisfy clients.
In that time, she consistently accomplished tasks in
a timely manner, developed creative and unique designs
like infographics, mockups for websites,
icons, brochures and animation assets. Her fervent
passion for design allowed her to work hard and be
actively motivated on each project that we assigned her.
In fact, we value her illustration style and it was
a great help for the development of an important
animation video project that we have with The Catalan
University Quality Assurance Agency
(AQU Catalunya).
The fact that she speak English and Spanish helped
us reach new potential clients and allowed us to
grow our network internationally. In addition,
she is extremely organized, reliable, responsable
and honest. She was an excellent team member
and everyone enjoyed working with her.
At Factoria Creativa she learned how to use
WordPress, our blogging tool and the new design trends
here in Barcelona, Spain.
Overall, I found that Thalia Bacilio Rojano consistently
exceeded our expectations and she would be a tremen-
dous asset for your company and has my higly recom-
mendation. I know that she will play an important part in
the success of any company she works for in the future.
