Human Computer Interaction Project

Hook Masta (PC Game)
This projectis about creating a PC game using Unity softwareaccording to the
client’s request.
Our game is an endless survival game. It opens the opportunity for the user to
experience a precision shooting game through the mechanic of hooking/ grabbing
of ingredients from a distance while challenging the user to achieve high scoreand
specific rank. The user will have to adapt to different kind of speed of the
ingredients movement on the rail as they progress throughoutthegame.
Note: I am using 2D sprites that we created and design by ourselves by hand-
drawing and then edited it using Adobe Photoshop.
 ProjectGoal:
o to create a game that can be played whenever and wherever people
have any sparetime
 Target users:
o Age: 6-20 years old (kids to adolescences)
o Gender: male and female
o User type: frequent user
 Game features:
o Hooking/grabbing mechanics
 Itis the main feature of our game. Itwill throw the hook to a
designated location and it will retrieve whatever object it hits
except the wall to the starting position of the hook.
o Matching Ingredients
 Once the ingredients were pulled to the original position of the
hook, it will check whether the ingredient is matched with the
recipe. If it is, then destroy the ingredient in the recipe.
o Resetting of ingredients in the recipe
 If the ingredient which is grabbed doesn’tmatch with the
ingredient in the recipe, the ingredients will be destroyed and
re-spawn a new set of ingredients in the recipe
o The incremental speed change
 As you progress throughoutthe game, the speed of the rail will
be increased gradually as you reach certain score threshold.

The Last Ember (PC Game)
This projectis about creating a PC game using Unity softwareaccording to the
client’s request.
The Last Ember is an action role playing game (ARPG) that combines other
multiple game elements, such as puzzleand survival. The game employs point-
and-click movement mechanic and it also offers players innovativeway to play an
ARP type of game.
Note: I am using Autodesk Maya to create the models and Unity to create the
terrain. The trees, textures, and houses was imported assets.
 Game features:
o Point-and-click movement
 Player is able to move the character by pointing cursor to
ground and left-click it.
o Basic attack
 Player is able to performbasic attack, an attack that does not
require any cost, to enemies by pointing cursor atan enemy
and then left-click it.
o Special attack
 There are multiple special attacks that player can perform.
Each of the special attacks posedifferent effects. All special
attacks require the player to sacrifice a certain amount of
mana. Each of special attacks requiredifferent way of
activation, but they all are activated by pressing keyboard keys.
o Charge
 Every attacks done by the player has a chance to increasea
chargewith maximum 5 charges. Oncethe player has filled all
the charges, the player can cast a skill that decreases mana to
0, but allows the player to cast all skill freely without any mana
cost within a period of time.
