5. WA R
A merican soldiers are warriors, members of the same team who
live the values instilled in them by the United States government every
single day. Placing the mission above all else they never
accept defeat, never quit, and never leave a fallen comrade. They are
disciplined, mentally and physically tough, trained and proficient; the
epitome of patriotism and pride, strength and valor, promise, and
heroism. They risk their lives to protect loved ones, friends, and family in a
faraway land of sandstorms and barren rock. They choose to fight,
and in so doing relinquish the luxury of asking why. A soldier
never questions orders, for a command is simply obeyed, and so
questions and insecurities are indulged by civilians only, which
makes it our duty to ask.
W hile we appreciate the sacrifices made by the heroics of our
generation is it wrong for us not to want our friends, our brothers
and sisters, our aunts and uncles, and our parents overseas fighting in a
war believed by many to be powered by greed and corruption?
