The Porsche 64, often regarded as the first automobile by Porsche, was developed using parts from the VW Beetle and featured a flat-four engine with a top speed of 160 km/h. Designed by Dr. Porsche for the 1939 Berlin-Rome race, only three units were made, with one being destroyed in World War II and the others used by the Porsche family. The last remaining Porsche 64 was restored in 1947 and later won the Alpine Rally in 1950.
