4. Hosni Mubarak-history Muhammad Hosni Sayyid Mubarak‎,born 4 May 1928 is a former Egyptian politician and military commander. He served as the fourth President of Egypt from 1981 to 2011. Mubarak was appointed Vice President of Egypt in 1975, and assumed the presidency on 14 October 1981, following the assassination of President Anwar El Sadat.

Elections meant nothing in his time, and since no one had any power to talk against him or challenge him, he became corrupt. Finally the public realized its power inspired by other revolutions they started their revolt against the leader, though earlier small conflicts occurred but Mubarak peacefully stepped down unlike Gaddafi. His internal policies might have been bad, but he wasn't that bad for the world. He was strictly against Islamic militants, and had a good supporting relations with Israel which any Islamic country hardly had. His one of the reason to refuse to come to receive the award in India was that he would be later expected by the Pakistanis to come to Islamabad, being an Islamic nation. Hosni Mubarak has been the target of many attacks by Islamic militants.
