Optical Solutions Australia along with their design delivery partner presents
the PER - Portable Evidence Recorder, which is the ideal solution for a wide
range of investigative applications.
With a common focus on the criminal justice sector; the system solutions
extend into other applications healthcare, defence and intelligence. Our joint
philosophy is the provisioning of robust solutions that are as easy to use as
that are reliable.
Quick to setup, it captures Video and/or Audio into a robust and secure
software package, Portable Recorder.
Users can burn a copy of the interview immediately, edit and burn a copy
when located elsewhere, or connect to the streaming server to securely
download to a secure networked storage facility and stream the recording
live to remote users.
Our Recording software follows a three step model:
• Enter case specific information (which is 100% customizable)
• Initiate recording
• Store recording
The PER Recorder replaces technology that is out-dated, proprietary and
prone to failure. It is available as a standalone solution, or can be connected
to the Interview Server.
The PER has all the functions you need for the accurate recording of suspect
and witness interviews.
Report Information:
Bespoke report capability allows the user to stamp unique metadata onto
each recording. This report can be customized to the requirements of the
individual client.
Recording Capabilities:
The PER records in standard formats – MP3 for Audio and MPEG2 or MPEG4
for Video, making subsequent transcription a simple process on any PC.
Bookmarking during the interview saves significant time when reviewing the
material subsequent to the interview.
Additional Information:
The PER is a proven, intuitive and easier way to secure digital recording. It
comes with both fixed and moveable cameras, and is ready for new wave
of communication capture. It has all the functions you need for the
accurate recording of live situations and comes with both fixed and
moveable cameras.
CD/DVD Burning:
The PER provides multiple burning options, either to CD or DVD. For
example, audio only can be selected for transcription purposes or sections
burned for case review. As each disc is prepared a log records all activities
on the interview for auditing purposes.
CRC and Archiving:
A unique Checksum (either MD5 or SHA256) is generated to guarantee
the authenticity of the data as it is used. All interviews are securely held in
an archive for fast retrieval and/or deletion as required.
Flexible to use:
Users can setup the Portable Recorder in a variety of settings, from
dedicated interview suites to external locations such as hospital wards or
schools.
