CCTV INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS
Overview
Kerfoot Electrics has chosen the new Optical Solutions Australia VMS
as the proposed solution to upgrade the current CCTV System.
Kerfoot Electrics Pty Ltd is a privately-owned electrical contracting
business which has been steadily expanding its operations since 1972.
We are based in Seven Hills, Sydney, and service the NSW market.
They provide Industrial and Commercial Installations, Maintenance
and Service for a broad range of public and private sector clients. Their
services range from general lighting and power through to major
switchboard and electrical upgrades, in addition to communications,
data and advanced integrated installations.
The Kerfoot Electrics team, led by Directors Stephen and Richard
Kerfoot, includes 47 experienced estimators, project managers,
designers, licensed tradespeople and office support staff who are
committed to customer service and satisfaction. The company has
over 20 vehicles on the road and employs 16 apprentices as part of its
involvement and support for the National Electrical Communications
Association (NECA) Apprenticeship Program.
The network VMS NVR is a premium Windows based server, included
a built-in PoE switch, HDMI and VGA monitor outputs, standard 4TB
HDD, supporting embedded Windows 7 operating system and USB
port interface.
The VMS range of NVR’s was designed for easy installation and a user
friendly operator interface.
Auto configuration of VMS cameras reduce the time and effort
required for installation. The smart PoE switch (802.3at), DHCP server,
power management function enables the system to be professionally
integrated into stand-alone or converged network systems.
The system was supported by the VMS-CLB-E-VZ is a multi-stream
ultra-dynamic range IP bullet camera which supports up to 1080p
resolution at 60 fps.
The IP66 enclosure along with the 3-10.5mm motorized zoom lens
provides for a simple plug and play deployment of a full HD camera
capable of illuminating up to 25 meters with its in-built IR Illuminator.
This turnkey solution provided Kerfoot Electrics head office with an
effective IP migration path.
Additional Project Scope includes the following:
The 60 fps allows high speed monitoring and recording for critical areas
such as high pedestrian traffic and vehicular movements. The remote
zoom and focus allows the technician to setup the camera along with
motion detection, privacy masking and multi-language support.
Optical Solutions Australia’s open VMS solution also supports a wide
range of third-party IP edge devices including the latest high- megapixel
and high-definition models from VMS, Samsung, DVTEL and Bosch.
It also enables remote access to live video using your iPad, iPhone,
Blackberry, Android and Windows Mobile devices with Net guard
Remote access solution.
The Net guard provided an unlimited number of users to the parish
organization with secure access to live and recorded surveillance video
via their existing mobile devices. It supports DVR / NVR / IP Camera /
DG-VSS connection, along with support Live, PB, PTZ, Audio and Digital
Zoom.
In addition to this is supports Dual Stream, Snapshot, Bookmarks, Push
Video Notification (available with specific products) and support Relay
Output, Event Filter and DVR / NVR Configuration (Pro version)
Kerfoot Electrics supplied and installed a number of these new
technologies including;

Kerfoot Electrics provided for all necessary training and supplied
installation manuals detailing full system description, as installed
drawings, final equipment layouts and locations, all other drawings
associated to the installation and all completed inspection test reports.
In addition to the above, Kerfoot Electrics implemented Change
Management techniques in relation to new works to minimise client
interruption.
