EMBARQ Türkiye’nin proje ortağı olduğu AB 7. Çerçeve Programı fonu kapsamında yürütülen SOLUTIONs (Sharing Opportunities for Low-carbon Urban TransportatION- Düşük Karbonlu Kent İçi Ulaşım Çözümlerinin Paylaşılması) Projesi’nin Akdeniz Bölgesi Ülkeleri Çalıştayı ve Sürdürülebilir Ulaşım Bileşenleri Eğitimi Çalıştayı, 5 Şubat 2015 Perşembe günü CODATU 2015’te paralel etkinlik olarak gerçekleştirildi.
Çalıştay kapsamında, Avrupa Birliği tarafından tanımlanan Akdeniz Bölgesi Ülkeleri arasındaki Türkiye'de seçilmiş şehirlerin yetkilileri ile yapılan yüz yüze görüşmeler ve anketler ile Kocaeli'nde gerçekleştirilen çalıştay kapsamındaki kentsel hareketlilik konusundaki mevcut durum, ihtiyaçlar ve ileriye yönelik planlar tartışıldı. SOLUTIONs projesi kapsamında çalışılan sürdürülebilir ulaşım bileşenlerinden kentsel lojistik, sürdürülebilir kentsel hareketlilik planları ve temiz araçlar olmak üzere üç başlıkta eğitim oturumları düzenlendi.
The final SOLUTIONS workshop for the Mediterranean region aimed to build upon the outcomes of the three (3) local workshops that took place in Turkey, Morocco and Israel where the main needs, gaps and priorities of the participating Mediterranean cities were identified and assessed. Based on the identified needs, the potential transferability of selected solutions / measures, of the four (4) thematic clusters considered for the region, was also evaluated considering the local conditions and policy framework. To this end, within the final Mediterranean workshop, the common city needs, gaps and priorities for the region were validated and finalized and policy recommendations fostering the
successful implementation of solutions / measures meeting the identified needs were formulated.

Interviews and Surveys took place within five cities in Turkey. Including local authorities from first three biggest cities İstanbul, Ankara and İzmir, Largest city Konya and most transit city Kocaeli. There have been also interviews with ministry of transport and ministry of development.
Ministry of Transport do not have any authority over PT and Infrastructure however metro cases like in Ankara and Istanbul they used governmental budget and their own tendering process. If the infrastructure should be implemented in intericty roads again the National Highways
Strongest cluster for Turkish cities.
Most problematic cluster for Turkish cities.
Since cities do not have any authority related to logistics this cluster is also problematic however less concerned by them. Moreover, cities developed their own solutions for city logistics.
SUMP is a nisch subject and there is not much for strength and weakness however there are good opportunities.
