Documenting DST Boot Camp and Energy
Management workshop
Objective: Intently listen to each topic presented through power points,
conversations around the table, and at breakout points. Carefully
document all of the information and most importantly the commentary
being said.
Status: Completed
Accomplished Lessons Learned Improvements
• Handwrote pages of
information highlighting key
concepts and important
commentary.
• Participated in small group
work taking note of specific
questions being asked and
answered.
• Typed up all DST notes.
Organized in chronological
order and then by topic and
listed name of speaker.
• Sometimes not everything is
important. Even though it might
seem like it. Focus in on the
important information that is
necessary to capture.
• Zoom in on the commentary
this is extremely important for
people in the meeting to refer
back to.
• Make sure to keep all notes
very organized with clear titles.
• Have a review session on some
of the key vocabulary to look for
when going into a meeting
where certain topics are being
discussed.
• Have a lesson on how to create
an organizational chart for
taking notes.
•In the beginning this would
have been very helpful for me
especially since I write
everything down.
• Took photos of notes written
by individual groups
• Worked with Zach to created
chart of EM wshop notes.
• Always double check spelling
because if you misspell a word it
can completely change the
meaning of what you
documented.
•Create a template ahead of time
that caters to particular meeting.
Also look for digital easel boards.
To avoid large amount of group
notes

On boarding Document
Accomplished Lessons Learned Improvements
• Created a detailed 28 page
documentation for interns to
follow. This consisted of steps to
help set up:
1) Accounts
2) Computer
3) voicemail
4) computer software
5) and an explanation of key
websites that Schneider uses
like Swebi and how to set up
your international directory
profile.
• gave them welcome package,
name plate, agenda.
• It is important to keep things clear
and simple for new employees to
follow when being presented with a
lot of new information.
• It is vital to take note of any technical
issues that might be a problem for
example (auto time was not working)
and fix these before you have new
interns attempt to use them.
• Keep in mind that you should focus
on completing one task in a day rather
than trying to set up various
accounts. It is too confusing .
• Create a vision with 3 different
phases for interns to follow.
You could break this up :
1) Setup computers and
voicemail and email
2) Create your international
directory profile and learn
how to use Swebi
3) Set up auto time (correctly)
and ADP
4) Set up HR link and review
key websites like Swebi
5 ) Book meetings
• Planned and Executed a
meeting with an agenda for
interns to follow . This agenda
was used to help successfully get
them set up during meeting.
• Make a timeline of what needs to be
completed each day based on
necessity. And try your best to stick
with this.
•Encourage a review session
with interns to tell you what
they found challenging each day
when getting setup.
Use their feedback to make
positive changes.
Objective: Create a simplified way for new interns to go about the on boarding process
at Schneider Electric. Make the Interns feel welcome and provide them with tools
they need to succeed.

upload any receipts into a box folder.
Status: Completed
Accomplished Lessons Learned Improvements
• Edited DST Boot camp agenda and
website
EM workshop:
• Confirmed hotel rooms ,Odyssey
cruise info ,MTC rooms , and catering.
• Scanned and uploaded receipts to box
and kept track of invoices.
•Always double check that all
services/ activates booked do not
need changes. EX: catering
company had to bring more
water.
•Scan every receipt as it comes in
and organize them by date.
• Make an organized list of
things that need to be done
using excel. It is easier to
keep track of things that
way rather than using
sticky notes.
• Created freedom trail packets
• Created personalized badges with SE
Colors and words
•Created welcome letters
•Did research on running trails.
•Created a chart of who was in each
group based on their nametag
•It is important to always make
extra copies of documents.
• Split up work efficiently by
day so that you are not
cramming.

Working with Azure
Objective: Keep track of each accounts costs and update the Azure Table,
Book Azure meetings and create a table displaying costs owed by each
account. Also compile a list of the financial controller and cost center for
each account
Status: Completed
Accomplished Lessons Learned Improvements
•Created a tab for each account:
Updated Euros for each month,
calculated average growth, estimate
run rate, actual run rate, average
increase and total new estimate.
•Kept track of changes for each account
and updated them when necessary.
•Figured out how much each account
owed ( 18%) and calculated how much
they owed for June and July giving me
their total amount owed.
•Booked Azure meetings for each
account
• It is important to always use the most
updated version of a project.
• Make sure to keep very careful track of
your emails and any account changes that
need to be made.
• Clearly communicate what you need from
people and make sure to find out if account
contacts have changed.
• Better system of keeping track of
updates in account info.
•Make each account update a
document with their account info as
it changes throughout the year and
have them send it to you.
•Have a database type system where
you can lookup who is in charge of
what account and also an easy
method of finding the cost center
information.
•Created a table compiling a list of
financial controllers and cost centers
for accounts.

Calendar.
• Set up a meeting with Wendy and
verified important meeting dates were
correct.
• Devised a color code system to
organize events . Created a color code
key .
• Set up a Google account and listed

continuing to dive further into the project
• It helps to come up with a method to your
organization for example: color coding. And
it helps to stick with this.
• When creating organizational tools focus
on making them user friendly. After all the
tool is only helpful if you make it clear.
• Find a useful template that can be
used to clearly show different events.
It will make your life easier when you
are trying to differentiate between
dates.
• For the seating chart take a survey of
peoples personal preferences for the
way it is organized. Are their any
special features you would like on it?
What would make it as clear as
possible?

workshop.
• Booked Improv comedy y show for
Thursday night. Spoke with producer
got reserved front row seats.
• re wrote and confirmed catering
order with sensational l foods
• Created a room request form and
filled it out and sent it to Carl.

• Get someone's feed back on how you can
improve in the way you do things ( example:
the Agenda) I was unaware of the table of
contents feature on excel.
• More communication on
a Budget or type of venue we are
looking for. This would make it
easier to narrow down choices.

various helpful tools in word when
making an agenda
• Have some type of organized
system with meeting participants in
order to successfully confirm their
arrival and departure times at l east a
week before the workshop.
• Clear understanding of what
specific events we wan t to book for
example do we want a concert? Or a
comedy show? If not a concert then I
will focus ALL my energy on
researching about comedy shows.
• Reformatted the table of contents in
agenda and rewrote title for each page
• Created an organized chart with
activities, contact info, even time and
cost of each activity.
Objective: Take care of the logistics for the workshop and coordinate a
