NAME: HIFZA ASHARAF
CLASS: MPA (FINAL)
SUBJECT: PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
ROLL NO: 17
DATE: 14-04-2018
SUBMITTED TO SIR AHSAN SHAZAD
TALKED TO MISS ZAHIDA PARVEEN. (PRINCIPAL)
ORGANIZATION: ST. LAURENT’S GRAMMER SCHOOL.
St Laurent’s school was founded in 1994 by the owner madam Zahida Parveen
which get registered in 1995 from board of secondary education Karachi.
Its workforce consists of 25 to 30 persons.
My first question from her was that how you hire a person what qualities and
skills do you see when you hire a teacher, how you evaluate the performance
how you motive them and compensate them? so she replied that,
 While hiring a person the most important skill i look for handwriting.
If a person has good handwriting then a person is considered as
good teachers.
 Secondly, is the individual doing the job for time killing or a person is
needy and thirdly what is their uniqueness?
 She uses traditional methods of observation and judging the
employee for their performances.
 They have the written rules which should be strictly followed by
everyone one.
 Their environment may be sometime strict and flexible as well.
 ‘’Time in’’ and ‘’Time out’’ is important of employees which is
considered as the key for performance.
 The performance is judged over all, like in the class rooms, meetings,
and group tasks.
 And when someone is performing well they compensate them with a
salary hike or an easy leaves and flexible timings at weekends.
 And if someone has low motivation, she counseled them, allots
leadership in group task, or talking about the pays if she is satisfied
with that or not? Make them realize their strengths.
 The employee who performed very well through out the year so he
or she get an umra package from school as gift.
