Pledgebank is a website run jointly by mySociety and Barnet Council that allows residents to make pledges to complete projects or organize events. Pledges will only be fulfilled if a certain number of other residents also commit to supporting the pledge. Successful pledges in the past have been tied to widely attended events like the Royal Wedding, offered things residents wanted like organizing neighborhood parties, and worked with the council to reduce red tape for volunteers. Residents can submit their pledge ideas to the Pledgebank team through the website.
