                              Treatment
The sequence opens with a picture of a woman standing outside her house.
This then matched cuts to another picture of the woman in a different location,
following this, more CU's of pictures are shown at a faster cutting rate. This
then ends with a crescendo and the flash of a camera. The flash then fades out
revealing the many pictures of the girl, spread across the table. A matched cut
is then used to show the 'psychos' face at an ECU for a brief moment.

A matched cut of a girl strapped to a chair in the middle of a room at MS. The
camera zooms into the girl whilst panning 180' around her head, showing the
    dominant figure in the background.

This then cross-cuts to an establishing shot of the husband arriving home,
shallow focus is used to show blurred headlights. CU of his feet getting out the
car. Cross-cut to psycho standing behind door, Cross-cutting back to husband
walking door. The husband then goes to put keys in the lock, before realising
the door is covered in words written in blood and a picture of his wife asleep on
the door. The keys are then dropped in shock, a shot of the keys falling in ultra
slow motion is used to reinforce the husbands shock.

A motivated cut shows a slow motion shot of the woman panicking. soundtrack
goes silent and selective sound of a heart beat noise will be amplified. The shot
will then jump back to the husband, who turns around and runs to his car. On
the queue of the door closing, the screen will go blank and show the title of the
    film in a suitable font.

O The Texas chainsaw massacre (2006) involves the use of a simple
font, making it easy for the audience to read. The font size is small and in the
corner, allowing the significant image to be the main feature. The font simply
    dissolves in and out.

O
The opening sequence to Se7en (1995) shows a similar technique used but
poses a different style of font. The font has a paranormal look to it, symbolising
the genre. The two examples show a common trend of establishing close-
up’s, making the opening sequence more mysterious and interesting for the
    audience.
Shot Ideas
An extreme close up to portray
the features and the emotions on
someones face but creating
suspense on what the character
actually looks like.

                          An extreme longshot
                          used to represent how
                          desolate an area is, as
                          seen left (The Strangers)

      A mid shot allows the
      audience to see the
      upper body so that things
      such as hand gestures
      can be used
Difficulties
One of our main problems is the fact we are going to be filming in
low light conditions, maybe even in the dark. This means certain
aspects of the filming will be barely visible. We can over come
this by adding a light source to the scene which also enhances
the light available to the camera.

Another difficulty that we will experience is the fact the blood and
gore that we are intending to create may look unrealistic as it is
not the real thing. However the use of low key lighting will make
the visuals less visible.
