Aussie Enviro was hired to undertake a large scale pipeline abandonment project in southwest Queensland that involved removing 180km of overflow pipe. They used heavy excavation equipment like excavators and dozers to cut the pipe into sections, load it onto trucks, and remove it to an approved waste facility. Aussie Enviro also used equipment like a skid steer loader and trucks to clean up the sites and return them to a safe and stable state compatible with future land use. Specialized attachments like shears and a grapple were acquired to cut and handle the pipeline sections. The project was completed successfully with over 4,000 man hours and no lost time injuries, near misses, or environmental incidents.
