A 14-year-old female presented with right auricular deformity since birth. She had no other symptoms or medical history. On examination, she had a prominent, constricted right auricle while the left was normal. All other systems were normal. As she wanted correction of the deformity, pinnaplasty was planned under general anesthesia to reshape the right auricle. The two-hour procedure was performed on July 7, 2012.

No H/O birth trauma.
Normal vaginal delivery
No C/O Pain, hearing loss, vertigo, Tinnitus, Ear Discharge
No other associated symptoms

No Past H/o any surgery

Temp: Afebrile
Pallor: -ve
Jaundice: -ve
Dehydration: -ve
Cyanosis: -ve
Clubbing: -ve
Edema: -ve
Lymph Nodes: Not
palpable

7. ENT Examination
Examination of Face:
No edema on face
No pigmentation, petechae seen on face
Examination of Mouth:
Good Hygiene
Mucosa of oral cavity normal
Tongue, gums normal

8. Examination of Throat:
Palate normal
Tonsils normal
Pharynx normal
Examination of Nose
No external deformity
Nasal septum and lateral walls normal

9. Examination of Ear:
Right auricular deformity with
prominent constricted auricle
Left auricle Normal
EAC normal
Tympanic membranes in both ears
normal with normal hearing

10. Systemic Examination
CardioRespiratory System:
S1 +S2 audible in all four areas.
Chest Clear with NVB
Abdomen: NAD
GIT: NAD
CNS: NAD
No other congenital anomaly seen.

12. As patient wanted correction of deformity,
Pinnaplasty was planned under G/A and
endotracheal intubation.
Surgery was performed on 7.7.2012 with a two hour
procedure.
