The PiBELT consultative workshop was organized at Injibara University on September 23-24, 2022. The workshop aimed to share the accomplishments and success stories of the PiBELT project in strengthening entrepreneurship in the Bahir Dar-Debre Markos corridor, gather feedback on PiBELT modules, finalize an MoU between parties, and establish collaboration with Injibara University. The schedule included presentations on PiBELT activities and modules, discussions on strategic plans and sustainability roadmaps, and reflections from stakeholders on supporting entrepreneurship and leadership development.

PiBELT Consultative Workshop
Partnership in Business Entrepreneurship and Leadership Transformation (PiBELT) is a collaborative project
between Bahir Dar University (BDU), DebreMarkos University (DMU),Indiana University and Ivy Tech
Community College aiming to establish a stronger entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Bahir Dar-Debre
Markos corridor, improve the administration and leadership of BDU and DMU, and design and maintaining
a follow up of network and support system. The last two years, the project has developed several capacity
development modules and conducted various trainings for a diversity of participants.PiBELT has provided
training to 98 young entrepreneurs and 58 university administrators across the country.
A consultative workshop is organized at Injibara University, on 23-24 Sept, 2022. The major objectives of
the workshop are:
1. Share with stakeholders the accomplishments and success stories of the PiBELT project towards
strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Bahir Dar – Debre Markos corridor,
2. Share with stakeholders the PiBELT modules/materials and gather feedbacks and inputs
3. MoU initiated at Bure stakeholder engagement workshop will be finalized and signed by the parties.
4. Establish a collaborative relationship with Injibara University, expanding the goals of the PiBELT
project in the Region.
