section emphasizes the development of a

Physical education and safety guidelines are crucial for creating a safe and
effective learning environment. By implementing these guidelines, educators
can minimize the risk of injuries and ensure that students can participate in
physical activities with confidence and enjoyment.
Equipment Safety
• Check for wear and tear, make sure
items are appropriate student age and
skill level.
• Replace worn or damage items
• Ensure Equipments are used properly.
Activity-Appropriate
Instruction
• Providing Clear instructions
• Increase intensity of activity as students
progress.
• Encourage to listen to their bodies
• Select activities appropriate for the students
Emergency Procedures
• Have a fully stocked first aid kit prepared during physical activity
• Establish a clear procedure on how accidents and injuries would be
treated when encountered.
• Ensure the location of first aid kit is known to the students.
Culture of safety
• Establish clear rules and expectations
during physical activities.
• Encourage communication of any
injuries or emergencies to the teacher.
• Promote a positive and supportive
environment that would enable
learners to take risks and learn new
skills.
Warm-up and cool down
• Incorporate a proper warm-up procedure
for starting any physical activity.
• Include a cool down process, in order to
help the body recover and prevent the
muscle soreness.
Environmental hazards
• Ensure that the activity area is safe and clear of any
hazards, such as slippery floors, obstacles and sharp
objects.
• Monitor the environment for changes in humidity,
temperature and other factors that may affect student
safety.
• Adjust activities or take breaks to ensure student safety.
