The document outlines a philosophy statement for early childhood education. It discusses several key beliefs:
- The family is the most important part of a child's development and educators should include families in the curriculum to create a sense of belonging.
- Each child learns differently so educators should respect different learning styles and focus on individual and group performance, providing extra support to children who need it.
- Exposing children to nature through outdoor activities is important for physical and mental health as it counters excessive screen time.
- Children need professional care, attention, and for educators to be responsive to their questions rather than ignoring them. Appropriate boundaries and privacy policies are also important.

The best ways to chose a right school | preschools in trivandrumAffra Schools
In the previous part of this blog, we discussed the details on the curriculum of the school, their approach to learning, and how it can benefit your children while looking for the perfect preschools in trivandrum. Everything that involves the priorities in terms of understanding his/her needs and providing thereby is included. Let’s now discuss the latter part ie step 3: Visit and observe kids playschool.
Trying to maneuver your way through the preschool admissions process can be both complicated and overwhelming. Choosing the right preschool is the first educational decision you will make for your child and it is a major one. Research shows that the child’s first school experience sets a precedence for how the child will view school throughout their educational career.
This process is difficult and confusing and many parents choose preschools based on the recommendation of others. While the opinion of other parents matters each child is unique and what may be right for one child may not be for another. This seminar addresses the different schools of thought for preschools (developmentally appropriate, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf and Cooperative), what to ask at interviews and open houses and what to look for when visiting the schools.
Please join Karina Money, M.A. to find out how to operate within the complex world of the preschool admissions process. 1. Philosophy statement
The Families are primary importance…
I believe that child’s family is the most important part of their development. Because In the
family child’s first teacher would be his/her mother. Moreover, the early childhood educator
need to be include the families and child in the curriculum and establish the caring and
professional relationship with families. Most important thing that educator need to be include the
parents or child’s family in the curriculum so children can have the sense of belonging and
parents can also feel that they are connected with the program.
Every child is different from each other…
According to my point of view that every child has different abilities to learn and do the
activities. So as an early childhood educator we should respect the child’s learning style.
Moreover, the educator should focus on the child individually as well as in his/her group
performance as well. If the child is lack behind from other then it is the responsibilities of the
educator to create the effective curriculum for the child and pay more attention and do the
observation on the child after using effective curriculum cycle.
Provide opportunity to experience nature…
I believe that if the educator is exposing the nature and outdoor activities to the children at early
stage. Because exposing to the nature would be great for the children’s health. Moreover,
educator can take them to the nature walk or setup the outdoor activities which can be helpful for
the children to be physically fit. Because nowadays children are always on the screen at home
2. and they are not that much physical for the body fitness. As well as the educator should maintain
the food restriction files up to date for the safety reason.
Care and learning of children in professional way…
I believe that children need attention, affection and care from the early childhood educator. Also,
they need professional care from us. As an ECE we must response to the children’s queries
because I have experienced that some educators talk with their colleagues and they ignore the
child’s questions. Where we need to be more attentive towards children. In addition to this,
teacher’s first job is to take care of children professionally.
Maintain clear and appropriate relationships…
In point of view educator should establish boundaries between children and parents because
Members are responsible for ensuring that appropriate boundaries are maintained in all aspects
of professional relationships. Moreover, the educator must s evaluate professional relationships
and other situations involving children under the member’s professional supervision and the
families or guardians of those children for potential conflicts of interest and seek consultation to
assist in identifying and dealing with such potential conflicts of interest.
Privacy and Supervision of children…
Educator should supervised the children all the time while children are in their care.
Furthermore, the educator must have the knowledge of the child’s privacy and about their
personal life. Educator should understand the responsible for complying with privacy legislation
establish clear policies and practices relating to the management of client information and make
information about these policies
