This PhD position involves investigating toxic protein species associated with amyloid diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's using small-angle X-ray scattering. The candidate will develop an automated method to decompose scattering data to better understand intermediate species formed during fibril formation and their transformation kinetics. They will apply this method to datasets from fibrillating proteins related to various diseases. The position is a collaboration between universities in Denmark and France, and the candidate will spend time working in both countries.
