3. Founded in 2003 by two O&G professionals in Rio de
Janeiro, PGT became a successful and renowned
service and consulting company with over 50 employees
and associates and annual sales of up to 3.5MMUSD.
In 2008, Vale, PGT’s largest client at that time, decided
to buy the company, which provided the basis for
creating Vale’s Oil & Gas subsidiary.
4. PGT main asset relied on the combination of multi-
disciplinary expertise, international experience, and
ability to apply state-of-the-art technology.
By transforming data into information and information
into knowledge, PGT helped its clients reducing
exploratory risks, finding and producing hydrocarbons
and maximizing their asset values.

downtown, Rio de Janeiro. There
were three regional offices, located in
Curitiba, Ouro Preto and Salvador.
