Peter Saville is a graphic designer born in 1955 in Manchester, England. He studied graphic design and rose to fame for his record sleeve designs for Factory Records in the late 1970s and 1980s. Some of his most iconic works include the poster he designed for the Hacienda nightclub in 1978 which launched his career, as well as album artwork he created for bands like Joy Division and New Order. Throughout his career, Saville has created artwork for musicians, designed products for brands like Lacoste, and had a major influence on artists like Kanye West. He is now considered one of the most influential graphic designers of all time.
