In my personal view, an historical and philosophical analysis on the existence of “Technical and
Quality Standards”, from the ancient times, leads to the conclusion that they were so important, for
the Development of Production, Industry and Technology, as the "laws", for the development of
Society and Economy.
However, important elements that differentiate the Technical and Quality Standards from the social
laws are the "Quantification" and "Measurability", two parameters that play an important part in
making these Standards widely spread and universally accepted, in this new era, based on the global
technical codes, concepts and the symbols of Science and Arts.
We, in SWISS APPROVAL strongly believe to the “Holistic and Integrated Approach” for an
