Short Bio
I work as a digital experience specialist at Charles River Laboratories, where I create and host
webinars, the company's top-performing marketing tactic. I'm also in the process of pursuing a
master's degree in emerging media, with an aim to pivot my career towards web development and
design.
When I'm not busy with work or studying, I enjoy dedicating my free time to personal
projects that allow me to experiment and expand my skill set. I'm particularly passionate about
music, education, and giving back to the metro Atlanta community, where I reside.

Long Bio
Hey there! I'm a Digital Experience Specialist at Charles River Laboratories, where I specialize
in running webinars - the highest ROI generating tactic for marketing. I love creating digital events
because they allow people to experience things from the comfort of their homes.
My passion for accessibility and inclusion was ignited when I worked as a marketing and
events coordinator for the Inclusive Digital Expression and Literacy program at Georgia State
University. The program was for students with mild intellectual disabilities, and it taught me the
value of making events accessible to everyone. Ever since then, I've been pursuing a career related
to digital events, and webinars have become my specialty.
I have a bachelor's degree in journalism with a concentration in public relations and a minor
in English from Georgia State University. During my time there, I was also in Air Force ROTC at the
Georgia Institute of Technology, and I served as the marketing chair for the Special Olympics Club on
campus. I was also published three times in the undergraduate literary journal for poetry.
Currently, I'm pursuing my master's degree in journalism and mass communication with a
concentration in emerging media from the University of Georgia. The Emerging Media Masters
focuses on the intersection of technology and design, allowing me to explore the various facets,
roles, and applications of emerging media across an array of disciplines and careers. In my program,
I'm learning HTML, CSS, and Javascript, as well as graphic design elements.
At Charles River Laboratories, I develop webinar project timelines/schedules and manage
projects to completion via the hosting platform, project management system, etc. I work on all parts
of webinar program creation, including webpages, automated emails, target lists, digital asset
management, platform set up, technical practices, hosting the live or on demand event, basic video
editing, captioning, and post-webinar reporting. I evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs
and quantify payback (ROI) in terms of registration and attendance levels, leads generated, and new
customers obtained. I also leverage and share best practices and trends with team members to
ensure the continued delivery of best-in-class webinar program offerings.
Previously, I worked as a Webinar & Digital Events Manager at Emerald, where I served as
the technical lead and authority on scheduling, construction and execution for individual and multi-
day webinars for brands and their sponsors. I consulted with Emerald brands to provide directional
support in the decision-making process of what platform to use, what options are available, and how
to best market a webinar. I even assisted in building an automated webinar process in Smartsheet
and taught brands how to use the form and the calendar.
In addition to my work in the digital events space, I still enjoy doing freelance work for
writing. I worked as a Freelance Copywriter at Creative Loafing Atlanta, where I researched, wrote
and edited copy monthly for the Arts Agenda section. I also worked at MNG Health as a Virtual Event
Host, where I acted as the primary technical contact for the client team during the virtual
engagement process. I even participated in client meetings and conference calls to identify issues
and make recommendations on how to eliminate future occurrences. Lastly, I worked as a Spring
Public Relations & Marketing Intern at Omnimetrix, where I edited and redesigned spec sheets,
brochures and other promotional materials.
After I finish my master's degree, I hope to transition departments at my company and start
working in web design. I'm excited to see what the future holds and I'm grateful for the
opportunities that have brought me here.

Previously, I worked as a Webinar & Digital Events Manager at Emerald, where I served as the technical lead and authority on scheduling, construction and execution for individual and multi- day webinars for brands and their sponsors. I consulted with Emerald brands to provide directional support in the decision-making process of what platform to use, what options are available, and how to best market a webinar. I even assisted in building an automated webinar process in Smartsheet and taught brands how to use the form and the calendar. In addition to my work in the digital events space, I still enjoy doing freelance work for writing. I worked as a Freelance Copywriter at Creative Loafing Atlanta, where I researched, wrote and edited copy monthly for the Arts Agenda section. I also worked at MNG Health as a Virtual Event Host, where I acted as the primary technical contact for the client team during the virtual engagement process. I even participated in client meetings and conference calls to identify issues and make recommendations on how to eliminate future occurrences. Lastly, I worked as a Spring Public Relations & Marketing Intern at Omnimetrix, where I edited and redesigned spec sheets, brochures and other promotional materials. After I finish my master's degree, I hope to transition departments at my company and start working in web design. I'm excited to see what the future holds and I'm grateful for the opportunities that have brought me here.
