proprie conoscenze e competenze digitali…
22 Ottobre 2009
Nativi digitali vs Immigrati digitali: mito o realtà?Maria Ranieri
Segnalo in proposito: Calvani A., Fini A., Ranieri M., Picci P. (2012). Are young generations in secondary school digitally competent? A study on Italian teenagers, COMPUTERS & EDUCATION, vol. 58, pp. 797-807.

University Public Driven Applications - Big Data and Organizational Design maria chiara pettenati
This document discusses improving access to and use of big data for university and public applications. It summarizes the discussions of a working group on this topic. The group examined current approaches to big data, potential future applications, and challenges. Recommendations focus on developing interdisciplinary education programs to train experts, providing open access to large datasets, and establishing frameworks and standards to support big data analysis. The goal is to leverage big data for addressing societal problems in areas like healthcare, transportation and the environment.
The document summarizes the mission and activities of the Fondazione International Center of Computational Neurophotonics (ICON). ICON is a non-profit foundation that uses optical imaging technologies and computational modeling to study connectomics, the mapping of neuronal connections in the brain. Its goals are to advance connectomics science and apply this knowledge to problems in complex systems and networks. Current projects include analyzing neuronal networks, developing AI for medical diagnosis, and collaborating on the Human Brain Project.
Presentation of the talk given
IESS 1.1
Second International Conference on Exploring Services Sciences
IESS 1.1: 16-17-18 February 2011, Geneva, Switzerland

The document introduces the concept of Web Science and discusses its emergence as a new field of study. It describes the Web Science Research Initiative which aims to take a multidisciplinary approach to examining the Web. It then discusses different perspectives on what constitutes "The Web" from both user and scientific perspectives. Finally, it outlines some of the challenges in understanding the Web that Web Science seeks to address, such as its social and technical aspects as well as how it influences other domains.
