On the scheduled day, they tested their camera and microphone equipment before traveling to Fonehouse. There, they successfully conducted the formal interview with Naik and also captured additional footage in the store to incorporate into their documentary.
Things happening in, around, and to freight transportationPer Olof Arnäs
There are a lot of things happening OUTSIDE the freight industry. Some of these are global trends. There are also a lot of things, like digitalisation, happening TO the transport industry. And there are of course also things happening IN the transport industry (like automation, drones, blockchains etc,).
E commerce and freight transport - Chasing the last mile, one byte at a timePer Olof Arnäs
The freight transport industry is facing large challenges when it comes to e-commerce. This rapidly growing sector has high demands on service and performance from the freight system - demands that are seldom met with satisfaction.
Digitization and digitalization are two forces of nature that the transport industry needs to harness and exploit in order to meet these demands.
Presentation by Keith Hall, CBO Director, to the American Business Conference.
The federal budget deficit in fiscal year 2015 equaled 2.5 percent of GDP, the smallest deficit since 2007. But, over the next 10 years, federal spending is projected to rise relative to the size of the economy because of the growth in health care and retirement programs and escalating interest costs. If federal tax and spending policies remained generally unchanged, revenues would not keep pace with spending, and within a few years, the deficit would begin to rise again relative to GDP.
JUCO is an artistic collaboration between Julia Galdo and Cody Cloud who met while studying at The San Francisco Art Institute. Their early projects together were class assignments and they are now based in Los Angeles. Within their fashion and commercial photography, JUCO experiments with bold colors and patterns to showcase clothing in unconventional ways using high key lighting and vibrant backgrounds that contrast but do not clash with the clothing. Their studio work is inspired by photographer Gregoire Alexandre who incorporates studio equipment and props into his images to add scale or grounding while avoiding pure abstraction.
The document discusses feedback from test audiences on various aspects of a documentary film. It provides the percentages of audience members who liked or didn't like different elements such as the background footage, vox pops voices, and text. The document also includes the filmmaker's analysis and agreement with some of the critical feedback, such as that some background footage was shaky and a Sky News clip was too long. Overall, the filmmaker is pleased with most of the positive audience feedback but hopes to improve some technical aspects for a more professional result.
The document contains 11 questions about a double page spread for a documentary television program. It asks whether the layout grabs attention, if the color scheme and images are effective, if the air time and channel are clear, and if the question and answer format is interesting and easy to follow. The final question asks if the double page spread would make the reader want to watch the documentary.
This document contains 9 questions about a radio trailer for a documentary. It asks whether the trailer was an appropriate length, if the sound levels and music volume were good, if the dialogue could be heard clearly. It also asks if the trailer would appeal to teenage audiences on Radio One, if the air time and channel were clear, if it was engaging throughout, the favorite aspect, and if any improvements could be made. It finishes by asking if the trailer seemed interesting and if the respondent would watch the documentary based on the trailer.

This document evaluates a media production project across four areas: how the products use and develop media conventions; the effectiveness of combining the main products with ancillary texts; learning from audience feedback; and use of media technologies in construction, research, planning and evaluation. For each area, details are provided about specific design elements, branding consistency, audience responses, and the software tools used at different stages, including InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and various online platforms.
InDesign was used to create the double page spread and arrange images and text according to the draft layout. It allowed the use of consistent house colors and text columns that fit well within the given areas. Photoshop was used to import and manipulate some images, such as isolating subjects from backgrounds using selection tools. The wrap tool in InDesign helped incorporate images to represent topics and add visual interest by wrapping text around them to create depth.

The documentary "The Mobile World" examines young people's relationship with mobile phones and the pressure to constantly upgrade devices. It questions whether phones are purchased more for social status rather than quality or functionality. The producer was initially skeptical of alternatives to iPhones but has since changed her view after research revealed other brands like Samsung offer superior technology. While becoming a smartphone society is inevitable, the documentary aims to empower young viewers to think critically about their mobile choices and not feel obligated to follow trends.
The document discusses color choices and fonts for branding a documentary about mobile technology and its effects. It selects blue, silver, black, and red as key colors, with blue representing phone screens, silver for modern accents, black symbolizing technology, and red conveying the dangers of overreliance. White is chosen to make the red pop. For fonts, sans serif is picked over serif because it is cleaner, easier to read, and aligns better with technology and a younger target audience.
The document outlines a 3 week filming schedule for a documentary project. It includes:
- Filming background footage and practicing with the camera in Solihull Town Centre in the first week.
- Conducting a formal interview at a mobile phone shop in Shirley in the first week.
- Finalizing the script and vox pop questions in the second week.
- Filming presenter elements and additional footage around college in the second week.
- Conducting vox pops with college students in the third week.
- Gathering final background footage and vox pops in the last week to complete filming.
This risk assessment document identifies potential hazards students may face while filming and taking photos for a college media studies task. The hazards identified include injuries from slips, trips and falls while filming, injury from transporting heavy equipment, and theft or attack when using expensive equipment in public. The degree of risk for each hazard is deemed minimal with control measures in place. Existing control measures include not filming alone, practicing safely with equipment first, working in groups, and informing teachers of filming locations. No further action is required at this time.
Apple reported lower than expected iPhone and Mac sales in its third quarter 2016 financial results. While mobile phones were first introduced in 1973, smartphones emerged in 2007 with the launch of the original iPhone, which popularized the smartphone and sold over 6 million units in its first year. Since then, Apple has significantly improved and released new iPhone models each year, selling over 40 million iPhones in a single quarter. The document then provides a history of smartphones from 1994 to 2013, highlighting key innovations and models from companies like IBM, Nokia, Ericsson, Palm, Blackberry, HTC, Samsung, Motorola and Apple.
The document asks questions to research the target audience for a documentary: their age, gender, phone model, documentary viewing preferences including genres and presenters, knowledge of brand pressure and interest in learning more. It inquires about documentary viewing habits such as preferred presenter style and tone, and asks about awareness of how advertising and social status influence young people's technology purchases.
The document describes images that will be used in a photoshoot for different pages of a magazine. The main cover image features models wearing clothing that correlates with the abandoned industrial surroundings to attract the target audience. An image for the contents page will feature the same models, clothing, and location as the cover to link the pages and highlight an important article. Additional images for inside pages will portray different aspects of alternative music such as dark lighting, a broken three-string guitar representing the genre, and stereotypical clothing of fans in an industrial setting.
This risk assessment identifies hazards students may face when filming or taking photos in a college photography studio. Tripping over cables or wires from studio lights and walking into chairs or desks in the dark room pose minimal risks. Currently, some lights and cables are tucked away but not all, presenting a high risk. The action plan is to warn students of hazards, further secure cables, only have necessary equipment out, and ensure dim lighting highlights furniture to avoid.
This risk assessment identifies hazards students may face while filming/taking photos on the college back field. The gravel and uneven ground poses a risk of falls. Discarded cables and rubbish are also trip hazards. Without controls, the risks of these hazards are rated A, or high. The action plan is to warn students to be careful of the hazards and encourage sturdy shoes. Objects will be moved if needed for the filming.
One model will wear natural makeup to fit the indie music stereotype while another will wear red lipstick to portray status. Models will wear items like bomber jackets and Dr. Martens boots associated with the alternative genre. Props like instruments will be used minimally and not on the cover to depict the genre through the artists and locations instead of props, focusing on individuality and honesty.
One model will wear natural makeup to appeal to indie music fans who don't modify their look, while another will wear red lipstick, a stereotypical feature associated with the genre. Models will wear items like bomber jackets and Dr. Martens boots paired with jeans and tights to depict the alternative genre. Props like instruments will be used minimally and not on the cover, as individuality and artist style alone can successfully promote the genre with honesty.
