PDHPE teaches students about active lifestyles, safety, growth and development, relationships, and personal health choices. It develops communication, movement, problem solving, and decision making skills. PDHPE encourages understanding of self and others so students can better control their lives and appreciate different feelings and perspectives. It also promotes lifelong physical activity, which is important for health, well-being, and quality of life.
