New York City – Channel 16 Fire Police integrated communications system
    A. Public Sector Project Experience
Public sector experience is quite comprehensive and includes following projects;

             a. GSA (Federal) – 2 former 5 year term contracts performed for the Newark GSA office that included
numerous facility rehabilitations, analysis and assessment of existing facilities, corrective works and
rework of existing space. Additional work included façade and roof restorations.
             b. IBB (Federal) – 2 former 5 year IDIQ contracts that included domestic and overseas projects. The
range of work included rehabilitations as well as new construction. On overseas work, the project
required sustainable design and mission critical facility work. These facilities, in many instances were
                stand-alone operations with self-supported utility.
             c. DDC (NJ State) – Former 5 year IDIQ contracts performing facility restoration work on state owned
facilities in Trenton and numerous facilities including vehicle maintenance garage and offices for state
                trooper administrative offices.
             d. NYC (DOITT) – Work performed for City’s Information and Technology department for development
of channel 16 (Cooperative Fire and Police emergency radio band) for the City of New York. This
work was performed for Motorola in support of their contract with NYC.
             e. Housing (State) – Former projects completed in employ of others for numerous housing authorities
across the state including Paterson with work completed in the early 90’s.
             f. Municipal – Numerous independent work performed by both Architects in the employ of others.
Additionally, Edward DeLaPaz was Senior Principal Architect in the employ of the Jersey City Bureau
of Architecture for over seven years where rehabilitation, restoration and new construction was
undertaken for numerous City facilities including administrative offices, police and fire stations,
institutional departments, parks and public spaces. A great deal of this work involved neighborhood
                planning and community level interaction.

    B. Experience

             a. New Construction
Experience includes residential, commercial, industrial and government sector work. The range of
building types includes single-family residences from two to fifteen thousand SF and multi story
                buildings from 20 – 100K SF.
             b. Restoration & Rehabilitation
Experience includes residential, commercial, industrial and government sector work. As example,
restoration includes older turn of the century classical architecture requiring re-roofing in historic
preservation and public spaces such as park gazebos requiring authentic clay tile roof works and
hard wood carpentry. Rehabilitation consisted of preservation or restoration of shell spaces and
re-working of spaces either for existing or new use. The rehabilitation would modernize amenities,
utilities and provide for a responsive program space use.
             c. Planning-neighborhood and/or community
As noted above in municipal public sector work, there were numerous projects, generally involving
parks, recreation facilities and public spaces where neighborhood planning and community grass root
support was required. Additionally, in private work, presentations in support of variances have been
conducted. In addition, in communications work including data centers and broadcast transmitting
(Cell/TV/Radio) facilities the variance work would require community outreach to garner local support
and gain approvals of certain developments. Often,
Variance work or Local presentations would include expert witness testimony and/or attorney
                assistance.
    C. Green (Sustainable Design)

Much of the overseas government sector work, communications facilities, mission critical facility
design and fire/police stations require sustainable design features. The breadth of experience in this
work is quite extensive and has been employed for over twenty years. Currently, Edward DeLaPaz is
a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design – Accredited Professional) and as such is
recognized as a professional versed in the process of certifying a project and having a
                  comprehensive knowledge of sustainable design.
