This document discusses the permissible carrying capacity (PCC) of wagons and penal provisions for overloading in Indian Railways. It provides details on factors that determine the chargeable weight like the route booked, commodity loaded, and type of wagon. The key routes for charging are CC+6 (universal), CC+8 (for certain commodities), and Excepted Routes. Overloaded wagons are subject to penalties like Rs. 5000 detention charges per wagon. Exemptions and latest instructions on weighment and dealing with overloading are also summarized.

An electric vehicle (EV) is one that operates on an electric motor, instead of an internal-combustion engine that generates power by burning a mix of fuel and gases. Therefore, such as vehicle is seen as a possible replacement for current-generation automobile, in order to address the issue of rising pollution, global warming, depleting natural resources, etc. Though the concept of electric vehicles has been around for a long time, it has drawn a considerable amount of interest in the past decade amid a rising carbon footprint and other environmental impacts of fuel-based vehicles.

At the California Asphalt Pavement Association (CalAPA) Spring Asphalt Pavement Conference & Equipment Expo held on March 23-24, 2023 in Ontario, Calif., Featured Speaker Bruce Tuter, Air Resources Supervisor, California Air Resources Board (CARB), delivered a presentation titled, "The California Air Resources Board Advanced Clean Fleets Regulation Overview." To meet state and federal clean air mandates, CARB is taking the next step in moving medium- and heavy-duty vehicles toward zero-emission. The proposed Advanced Clean Fleets regulation would require that various fleet types begin integrating these vehicles into fleets as early as 2024, depending on fleet type.
This presentation was prepared by me as a part of Induction Activity in my previous Company.
Being HR Executive, I was looking after end to end recruitment and On boarding activities. It was one of the initiative, having prime objective of creating awareness among new joiners regarding Company,Work Culture and functions performed in each department.

2. WEIGHT CONDITION
• Weight condition means loadability of a
commodity inside the wagon.
• Commodities will be charged at the PCC of
Wagon under three routes, CC+8, CC+6 or
Excepted Route. (RC-28-11).
• In case of wagons loaded with containers the
marked CC of wagon shall be its PCC. (RB
TC-1/2006/109/6-Pt-2 dated 14-11-2008).
• PCC of BLL/BFK/BFC wagons for movement
of containers by are given in (RC-5-15)
3. ROUTES FOR CHARGING
• CC +6 : Universalised Routes (All routes in Indian
railways are CC+6) except those notified as Excepted.
• Excepted Routes: Those Notified routes
• CC+8 : Those identified routes
• CC+8 routes has enhanced PCC when loaded with
notified commodities (Ores, Gypsum, Limestone,
Dolomite, Stones, Clinker, Cement, Slag , All types of
Coal DAP and NPK fertilizers) in different types of
wagons.
4. FACTORS DETERMINING
CHARGEABLE WEIGHT (PCC OF WAGON)
1. ROUTE IN WHICH IT IS BOOKED
( CC+8/ CC+6/ ER)
2. THE COMMODITY BOOKED
( Coal/Ores/Cement/Urea/Rice, etc;)
3. TYPE OF WAGON
( BCX/BCN/BOX/BOXN, etc;)
5.
6. CHARGING UNDER VARIOUS ROUTES
When traffic is booked via routes which involves two or more of
different routes viz. Excepted routes, CC+6 routes and CC+8 routes,
the chargeable weight will be the permissible carrying capacity of the
route for which is most restrictive.
ILLUSTRATION:

7. W E I G H M E N T (RC-86-06)
• Sender has to record the weight of the consignment

• If not weighed at loading point, due indication to be
made on VG for weighment at alternate weigh
bridge.
• Weigh bridge clerk will communicate the weighment
details to the loading point.

9.
10. ISSUE OF RR
• The RR shall be prepared based on the
weighment details furnished by weigh bridge
within 24 hours of loading.
• If the RR cannot be prepared within 24 hours
from the time of loading, DCM can permit
another 24 hours time for preparation of RR
based on the weight furnished by the
alternate weigh bridge.
• If the weighment details are not received
within 48 hours, RR should be prepared
based on sender’s weight.
11. EXEMPTIONS FOR WEIGHMENT
• Wagons loaded with standard bags of uniform
size are exempted from mandatory weighment.
(RC-61-07)
• At least 5% of rakes to be weighed in a month.

• One RR can be issued Per Wagon
• A Maximum of 12 RR can be issued Per
Wagon.
• However for every additional RR issued a
charge of Rs. 300/- is levied.(RC-31-12).
• No Duplicate RR Can be Issued.
14. LATEST INSTRUCTIONS ON
