Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo was a Filipino painter born in 1901 who played a significant role in Philippine history. He was an acquaintance and inspiration to members of the Philippine reform movement in the late 19th century, including Jose Rizal, Marcelo del Pilar, Mariano Ponce and Graciano Lopez Jaena, who worked to reform the colonial government and society in the Philippines. A presentation was given on Hidalgo's self portrait and his influence on the reform movement.
