Earlier this year, VMware and Amazon Web Services announced a strategic alliance to
build and deliver a seamlessly integrated hybrid offering that will give customers the full
software-defined data center (SDDC) experience from the leader in the private cloud,
running on the world’s most popular, trusted, and robust public cloud. VMware Cloud™
on AWS will enable customers to run applications across VMware vSphere®-based
private, public, and hybrid cloud environments.
At AWS re:Invent, VMware and AWS are announcing that we are working on a joint
initiative, the VMware Cloud on AWS Partner Program, that will be launched in 2017. The
VMware Cloud on AWS Partner Program provide training for partners that help
customers deploy and operate VMware workloads on AWS.

The AWS IoT Competency: Showcases industry-leading APN Consulting and Technology Partners

• IoT practice audited by 3rd Party
• Reference Architecture provided, highlighting how their practice fits into the IoT space not specific to a
segment or vertical
• Practice includes 3 or more technical and business consulting services to help enterprises transform their
business practices to include IoT enablement and solutions in partnership with AWS and the use of AWS
services. Examples include: software development, design consulting, and prototyping.
