4D View Solutions provides photo-realistic 3D capture and reconstruction of dynamic scenes. They sell synchronized multi-camera video capture systems specialized in 2D capture and 3D reconstruction. Their offline 3D capture system is gaining footing in the film industry. Recent projects include 2D capture of extreme motion capture in zero-G environments and 3D teleconferencing R&D. Their 3D reconstruction process involves silhouette extraction from multi-camera capture to produce a textured mesh series that can be composited into final content.

This research investigated the impact of synchronous distributed non immersive cloud-VR (cloud computing type of Virtual Reality) meetings using the annotation function by noting an architectural design process. The experimentation of collaborative design work at the early stage of a housing renovation project was executed by three designers. The synchronously distributed meetings using cloud-VR and a freehand sketching function were completed in two days. The annotation function was used effectively when a designer wished to show the space composition and volume shape of the planned building and so on. The proposed design environment, sharing a 3D virtual space with viewpoints, plans, sketches and other information synchronously and remotely, was feasible and effective.

Sea-dragon Technology allows users to smoothly browse high-resolution graphics and photos. It was created by Blaise Agüera y Arcas in 2003 at Microsoft and was named after a team in Microsoft Live Labs. Photosynth is an open source software that generates a 3D panorama from multiple 2D photos by identifying and matching features across images. Deep Zoom Composer allows continuous zooming in and out of very large images, like those over 100 megapixels, through its deep zoom algorithm that reduces processing time for sparse images.

Abstract:
Augmented and Virtual Reality technologies allow advanced interactions in three-dimensional space by projecting digital content into users' field of view using dedicated opaque and see-through head-mounted displays.
At the Global XR Conference 2022, I will show what I have learned by building a software prototype combining AR and VR to transmit in real-time a three-dimensional video.
Point clouds were captured using a mobile depth camera and transmitted to a Virtual Reality device (Meta Quest 2) using a WebSocket server hosted on the Microsoft Azure platform.
Come along, there will be Unity demos, and we will have some fun looking at building a distributed system integrating holograms in a Virtual Reality experience.

A computational camera attempts to digitally capture the essence of visual information by exploiting the synergistic combination of task-specific optics, illumination, sensors and processing. We will discuss and play with thermal cameras, multi-spectral cameras, high-speed, and 3D range-sensing cameras and camera arrays. We will learn about opportunities in scientific and medical imaging, mobile-phone based photography, camera for HCI and sensors mimicking animal eyes.
We will learn about the complete camera pipeline. In several hands-on projects we will build several physical imaging prototypes and understand how each stage of the imaging process can be manipulated.
We will learn about modern methods for capturing and sharing visual information. If novel cameras can be designed to sample light in radically new ways, then rich and useful forms of visual information may be recorded -- beyond those present in traditional protographs. Furthermore, if computational process can be made aware of these novel imaging models, them the scene can be analyzed in higher dimensions and novel aesthetic renderings of the visual information can be synthesized.
In this couse we will study this emerging multi-disciplinary field -- one which is at the intersection of signal processing, applied optics, computer graphics and vision, electronics, art, and online sharing through social networks. We will examine whether such innovative camera-like sensors can overcome the tough problems in scene understanding and generate insightful awareness. In addition, we will develop new algorithms to exploit unusual optics, programmable wavelength control, and femto-second accurate photon counting to decompose the sensed values into perceptually critical elements.

This paper presents an applied approach for Panorama 3D movies enhanced with visual sound effects. The case study that considered is IIPS@UOIT. Many selected S/W have been used to introduce the 3D Movie. 3D Animation is a modern technology in the field of the world of filmmaking and is considered the core of multimedia, where the vast majority of movies such as Hollywood movies that we see today, it was using 3D technology. Where this technique is used in all the magazines, such as medical experiments, engineering, astronomy, planets and stars, to prove scientific theories, history, geography, etc., where they are building models or scenes or characters simulates reality and the movement of the viewer to the heart of the event. A three-dimensional film was made to (IIPS @ UOITC) to give it a future vision and published in the global sites such as YouTube, Facebook and Google earth. By using many specialized 3d software and cinematic tricks, with a focusing on movement, characters, lighting, cameras and final render.

I provide the techniques for point cloud compression and the designed quality metrics and codecs in my PhD at CWI. I detail the standardisation activity on point cloud compression that I started in 2014 and that started in 2017 involving all mobile device makers like Apple, Huawei, Sony, Samsung and Nokia.

Tutorial on Point Cloud Compression and standardisation given at IEEE VCIP 2017 in december. I provide the techniques for point cloud compression and the designed quality metrics and codecs in my PhD at CWI. I detail the standardisation activity on point cloud compression that I started in 2014 and that started in 2017 involving all mobile device makers like Apple, Huawei, Sony, Samsung and Nokia.

Normal maps are described as a technique to add surface detail without adding polygons. Level of detail (LOD) modeling is discussed for both movies and games. Overall, the techniques differ due to movies having no interactivity or frame rate requirements, while games need efficient, real-time rendering.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
