Cyclus N.V. is a Dutch waste management company that has established a joint venture with a Ghanaian company called Cyclus Elmina Plastic Recycling Ltd to collect and recycle plastic waste in Ghana. Cyclus Elmina collects plastic waste from three regions in Ghana and employs 70 people directly and works with 45 agents and 200 laborers for collection. The company processes the collected plastic into scrap that is sold to Ghana's plastic industry and on the international PET market, as well as building materials. By recycling plastic waste, Cyclus Elmina aims to improve the local environment, create jobs, and educate communities about waste management.
