Kyle Macdonald traded a single red paperclip over the course of a year, eventually trading up to receive a house without spending any money. He began with the paperclip and traded it for increasingly valuable items, such as a pen, fish-shaped pen, snowmobile, and eventually landed a two-story farmhouse in Saskatchewan. His story illustrates how creativity and perseverance can allow you to achieve big goals through a series of small trades.
