Halloween is celebrated on October 31st, when children go house to house getting candies. According to a Celtic legend, spirits called Jack O'Lanterns would visit homes on Halloween, asking "Trick or Treat," and pumpkins were used to ward them off. Halloween originated in Ireland and is now celebrated in the United States and England as well. Common costumes include mummies, bats, skeletons, vampires, ghosts, spiders, and witches.
