The French IGCSE speaking exam consists of 3 compulsory parts over 15 minutes: two role plays of increasing difficulty worth 30 marks total, a topic presentation/conversation worth 30 marks where candidates describe a picture or object without notes, and a general conversation worth 30 marks. At the end, examiners award an additional 10 marks for pronunciation, accent, and fluency based on the candidate's overall performance. No aids are permitted.
