1. PREDICTIVE MODELS
You know how when you see dark clouds, you think it
might rain soon? That’s because your brain is making
a prediction based on what usually happens.
Predictive models do the same thing, but on a
computer. They look at lots of information (like
weather patterns, test scores, or what people like to
buy) and then guess what might happen next.
2. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING
Automated decision-making is when computers
make choices by themselves without a person
deciding each time.
Example:
- When you play a video game and the computer makes
enemies move or decide what to do – that’s
automated decision-making.
- When traffic lights change by themselves depending
on how many cars are coming, that’s also automated
decision-making.
