A network analysis of 794 genes associated with pancreatic adenocarcinoma identified 632 genes that strongly interacted in a single major component, following a scale-free or power-law distribution where few genes had many connections. Statistical analysis of the network's connectivity supported that it behaved as a scale-free network, in which a few nodes have high degrees of connectivity while most have few.
