The Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) is the national organization of registered medical technologists in the Philippines. It was founded in 1964 by Crisanto Gomez Almario. Over the years, PAMET presidents have worked to professionalize medical technology through legislation, establish standards and advocacy. Notable accomplishments include passing the Medical Technology Act of 1969, integrating PAMET with the Professional Regulation Commission, and hosting international conferences. PAMET continues to provide advocacy, education and community services for medical technologists.
