This document provides details on an EPC contract for a power plant project in Kaeng Khoi, Thailand consisting of 2 blocks of 2 gas turbine combined cycle units totaling 1,468 MW. The owner is Gulf Power Generation Company Limited and the EPC contractor was awarded the fully turnkey contract in December 2004. The civil works began in April 2005 and power availability for Block 1 was achieved in March 2007. The civil works exceeded original budgets for concrete, steel reinforcement, underground pipe work, steel structure, and cladding.

• STEEL REINFORCEMENT – 8520 T against 4530 T , 188% on original budget
• UNDERGROUND [ PIPE WORK ALONE] - executed is 2.4 times the original budget . cost over run is 117,532914
THB against 48,218501 THB budget.
• STEEL STRUCTURE – 5340 T against 3440 T original budget, 155% on original budget
• CLADDING- 33000 m2 against 27000 m2 original budget , 122% on original budget.
