Designing monolithic infrastructures is a common mistake in large projects. However, more often than not, these infrastructures are too generic, make false assumptions or are simply delivered too late for feature developers to use, becoming "white elephants".
This presentation is a case study of the work done by my team to deliver Live Merging of Snapshots oVirt from the initial steps in oVirt 3.1.0 to the full delivery in 3.5.0, and how good design can be feature-driven, building infra-structures step by step, while gaining small wins during the process.

In this session, Steve Gordon of the Red Hat OpenStack Platform team will show you just that. Steve will walk through a recent benchmarking deployment using the Cloud Native Computing Foundation’s (CNCF) new 1,000 node cluster with OpenStack and Red Hat’s OpenShift Container Platform, the enterprise-ready Kubernetes for developers.

We are going to discuss the recent development based on the SR-IOV failover feature in virtio specification and its implementation for the Windows guests. In this session, Annie Li and Yan Vugenfirer will provide an overview of the failover feature and discuss specifics of the Windows guest implementation.

NFV solutions that pull from open source projects such as OPNFV, OpenStack, OpenDaylight, and others must be integrated and tested in an environment that fully supports the performance and availability requirements of service provider networks. We’ll show OPNFV performs open source NFV testing, including: methodology; mapping to ETSI NFV use-case/s; open source project integration; testing dashboards; Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD); and testing acceleration. We’ll provide an overview of the OPNFV Pharos Community Test Lab infrastructure and the new Pharos Lab-as-a-Service to run a test deploy of OPNFV and try it out on your own. We’ll also give an overview of how OPNFV is working together with OpenStack Community as part of its Cross Community CI (XCI) effort in order to provide means for OPNFV developers to work with OpenStack master branch, reduce the time it takes to develop new features and test them on OPNFV Infrastructure, and more.
