Format Your Paper
   • First, divide your paper by
     drawing a series of stairs from
     the upper right corner to the
     lower left corner
   • The left-hand side of the paper is
     the upstairs, representing your
     PUBLIC self.
   • The right-hand side of the paper
     is the downstairs, representing
     your PRIVATE self.

         Think what you do, say, choices you make.
         Think what you don’t do, don’t say, or choices you
          don’t make.
      Two Images
         Visually represent what you do, say, choices you
          make.

      One Summary Sentence
         Write a summary sentence describing your PUBLIC
          self.

Guidelines
     • Descriptive Sentences, images,
       and brainstorms must tie-in
     • Must be multicolored
     • No lined paper
     • Use your note-taker
     • Each side must be a different
       color
     • Be creative, unique, even
       unusual
How to Grade Upstairs/Downstairs
                (Based on a score of 100 points)

Printing Directions
1. On the tool bar, click on “File,” click on “Print.”
2. In the “Print” dialogue box, in the lower left corner under
   “Print What,” click on the drop down arrow and select
   “Handouts.”
3. Then, under “Color/Grayscale,” select the best on for your
   printer.
4. Next, under “Handouts,” click on “Slides per Page,” and
   choose “9.”
5. Lastly, click on “OK,” and the file will print.
6. Staple Directions to your assignment.
