This document outlines the orientation program for first year MCA and MCA dual degree students. It introduces the director, HOD, and faculty of the program. 3. How your course is formulated
• MCA, MCA(Dual Degree) are 3 year, 5
year program respectively with each year
divided into Two semester called Odd
and Even semester.
• And Numbered as I, III, V semesters for
Odd semesters and II, IV, VI for Even
semester.

4. Notice Boards
• Although mentors will inform you from time
to time about important events such as filling
up the registration and Exam forms, holidays,
Time Table etc. yet it is the duty of each
student to see various Notices put on
Students Notice Board and College web side
Notice Board.

5. Timing
• 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM with lunch from
1:00 to 1:30 PM.
• Library & College Office will remain open
during lunch hour for any query.
• Library will remain open from 10 AM to 5
PM for Students.

6. Internal Assesment
• Three class tests of 30 marks each:
Average of best Two marks Obtained in class
tests, will count towards your sessional
marks.
A student with less attendance till the starts of
particular class test, will not be allowed to
appear in that class test.

7. Attendance
• As per MTU a student must have 100%
attendance.
• However medical leave and emergency leave may
account for 15% leave 10% leave may be granted
by Vice Chancellor.
• Therefore to be able to appear in end semester
Examination. A student must have 75%
attendance after taking into account above 25%.
• A student will be detained if his/her attendances
is <75%.

8. Sessional Marks
• For each subject, there are 50 marks for
sessional (30 for class test, 10 for Quiz and
assignment & 10 for Attendance).
