Onetrail provides order data services that facilitate integration between trading partners and ensure orders are processed accurately. It supports standard order messaging types including purchase orders, order acknowledgements, order status updates, dispatch advices, and invoices. Onetrail verifies product codes, translates messages into the required formats, and ensures a consistent process regardless of the trading partner so companies only need one connection, mapping, and service level.

1. Onetrail TPN™ Order Data Services
Defects in the order process often lead to orders making a loss, certainly with the traditional high order
volumes and low order values caused by Internet-based sales. As the order process is fully dependent
on data from Trading Partners, integration has become a necessity. Onetrail does not only provide all
required message types, but also facilitates most known industry specific processes (e.g. drop-ship,
multiple shipping conditions, license orders etc.).
Onetrail Data Exchange
The following order related messaging services are available:
Onetrail TPN™ Order
This message kick-starts the ordering process with your Trading Partners. Onetrail ensures that the
(purchase) order generated by the Buyer’s system is translated and transformed such that the Seller
can automatically process the (sales) order in their system. Onetrail is able to use the Onetrail TPN™
Product Data Store to verify the product codes used prior to the order entering the Seller’s back office.
Onetrail ensures that all orders for/from all Trading Partners are exchanged in exactly the same way,
so that your system only requires One Connection, One Mapping and One Service Level.
Onetrail TPN™ Order Acknowledgement
After delivering the Order Message to the Seller Onetrail confirms the successful delivery by sending
the Acknowledgement Message by e-mail to the Buyer.
Onetrail TPN™ Order Status/Response
The Order Status/Response Message is produced by the Seller to inform the Buyer of processing
details (e.g. order number, prices, expected delivery dates etc.) and potential exceptions (e.g. back
order info etc.). The Buyer is now able to manage the order from within their own order management
application for all Sellers. Order Status/Response Messages are sent every time something changes
in the order.

2. Onetrail TPN™ Despatch Advice/Shipping Notice
Once the Seller ships the goods a Despatch Advice, also referred to as Shipping Notice, is generated
and sent to the Buyers’ system, whom can then prepare to receive the goods. Especially when goods
are directly dropped shipped to the Buyers’ customer. The Despatch Advice is the only way in which to
inform the Buyers’ order process about the shipment’s content and if the shipment is in transit. If the
Seller scanned serial numbers; these numbers will be included and delivered for processing to the
Buyers’ system.
Onetrail TPN™ Invoice
At the end of the order process is the Invoice Message. The Seller sends this message to Onetrail
where the message is translated and transformed, in such a way, that it can be directly processed by
the Buyers’ system. All Invoice Messages from all Trading Partners will be transformed by Onetrail
such that they can be processed in exactly the same way.
