Datacite is enhancing its services through an auto-update mechanism that allows researchers to link their ORCID IDs when submitting datasets. Data centers are required to collect and embed ORCID identifiers, facilitating automatic updates to researchers' ORCID records. The new profiles service, launching this week, will provide personalized interactions and streamline processes for both researchers and data centers.

Researchers: (1) use ORCID iD when

DataCite via profiles to update your
ORCID record.
Data centers: (1) collect ORCID

DataCite: Upon receipt of data from a
data center with a valid identifier,
DataCite will automatically push that
