Our integrated approach includes a broad spectrum of programs and tools. At one end of the spectrum, we have traditional programs targeted at people who are high risk. These programs work and have been in place for a number of years. At the other end of the spectrum, we have tools for people who are healthy and/or able to manage their conditions independently and without much guidance. These have been developed and created by Humana and are the backbone of our e-health strategies. In between, we provide Personal Guidance, a bridge for people who are not high-risk or catastrophic, but whose emerging conditions or deteriorating health status serve as a signal of change. This program spans the gap of need for people who are not in need of a more traditional program, but also not capable of managing their condition completely independently.
