Opinion on Immigration
There are clear problems within this country regarding its legislation and standards on
immigration. Many people who are seeking to come for this country for many different reasons
such as religious persecution in their homeland, jobs, and a chance for freedom are unable to
immigrant due to the strict requirements to obtain a visa. Since it is difficult to immigrant to this
country, many people find illegal ways to come to the United States. Many people can obtain a
student visa or tourist visa and simply stay pass their time to leave or people “jump the border”
and create a fake social security card. The inability for people to acquire the right to entrance into
this country creates the problem that some people are living in this country illegally. Some of
these people bring young children with them; however, they are also considered illegal
immigrants and do not have a social security card to enable them the chance to learn to drive a
car or receive a college education. There are issues amongst immigration laws and regulations in
the United States and something needs done to solve these occurrences.
Less strict procedures to obtain a visa should be enacted. If more immigrants would be
granted a visa and the opportunity to freely live in this country then the amount of illegal
immigration would decrease. Not everyone can be permitted the right to live in the United States;
however, more people should be given the opportunity to receive passage way. If someone truly
wants to come to this country and they are denied access then they will probably find another
“illegal” way. Therefore, if more people are allowed to come to this country then the amount of
illegal immigrants would be reduced. Most of this country are immigrants unless they ancestors
are American Indians. America is built on the idea of freedom and immigration has allowed
America to become a melting pot with many different cultures.
In addition to decreasing the regulations to obtain a visa, stricter laws should be
established based on illegal immigration. Such as fake security cards should be less obtainable
which would decrease the chance for some illegal immigrants to find a job. Also, stricter laws
should be placed in order to find and expel illegal immigrants. A start to solve the immigration
issue in the United States is to decrease the procedures in order to come to the United States and
to increase the laws to regulate illegal immigrants. Both of these ideas would increase the
amount of legal immigrants and hopefully decrease the amount of illegal immigrants. This would
cut down on the amount of dreamers who are unable to receive a college education and being
threatened to leave the country. Resolutions to the immigration issue would also cut down on the
complaints that immigrants are taking jobs away from Americans. These ideas are only a start;
however, something needs to be done to reduce the amounts of illegal immigrants in this
country.
