This document discusses the goals and structure of the OpenStack Training program created by Sean Roberts and Colin McNamara. The goals are to lower the barrier to entry for OpenStack, align training with upcoming certification, and enable more diverse groups to develop marketable skills. The training structure includes self-paced, corporate instructor-led, and community instructor-led courses focused on associate engineer, operations engineer, development engineer, and DevOps architect roles. Methods to avoid content becoming stale include reusing code, engaging end users, and treating training like open source software. Current challenges include engaging end users and scaling infrastructure to support the program.
