OpenStack is an open source cloud computing platform that was originally developed by NASA and Rackspace. It aims to be the "big tent" for cloud computing by providing an open platform that can be used by amateurs and experts alike. The OpenStack community has grown rapidly since its launch in 2010, with over 1,000 developers from more than 150 organizations contributing code. It has become one of the largest open source projects in the world.
